The new HQA 650 VS welding wire offers outstanding abrasion resistance combined with heavy shock-resistance, despite the increased level of hardness. Several layers can be applied with little risk of chipping or breaking out. If you are welding onto a sensitive base material, we recommend preheating the part to 300-400°C.
650 VS is a martensitic stainless steel that provides outstanding wear and shock resistance in applications that require sliding, furling, and impact-resistance.
HQA 650 VS provides a hardness of 58-60 RHC in most welding combinations for applications operating below 1000°F. Perfect for injection molds and sliding machine parts!
